Diversified Sourcing Solutions is seeking a Customer Support Engineer for a fast growing company in the Houston area. They are a leading service provider in the Alarm Communications Industry by providing products nationwide that communicate alarm signals over the Internet and Cellular Networks. We are in the market for individuals who have the "Don't Stop" attitude and will always go above and beyond to make the customer satisfied.
The Customer Support Engineering will provide support via phone, e-mail, and live chat to customers. This position does not require travel. All support provided will either deal with Alarm Installation & Networking Support. This is a very technical position and is FULL-TIME, Monday thru Friday position with Rotating Bi-Weekly On-Call Support. The position starts between $13-$15 hourly with overtime and room for advancement.
*Answer phone calls, e-mails, and live chat support as they come in.
*Will work daily on a computer to provide information & support for customers.
*Defuse situations and escalate calls to the proper supervisor.
*Transfer incoming calls to the appropriate departments.
*Find common problems and report any on-going issues to the proper supervisor.
*Must feel comfortable with answering phone calls daily to help resolve issues.
*Ability to learn quickly and have common sense problem solving.
*Have proficiency on computers. This position requires a lot of multi-tasking with multiple windows open.
*A strong background in providing customer service over the phones.
*At least 1 year prior experience in the Alarm industry with basic knowledge of Control Panels (DSC, Honeywell, Vista, Etc.), how panels communicate, etc.
