Position: Office Manager
Location: Savannah, GA
The Savannah Office has an excellent management opportunity. We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented, energetic self-starting individual for our office. The position will report to the General Manager of Atlanta Branch.
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
? 30% Supervise all Import/Export Operations and Lead Import Staff
? 20% Support subordinate staff and provide them with accurate instruction for efficient operation, file preparation, problem-solving and high-level Customer Service & communication.
? 20% Daily operation including the direct contact with branches / customers / ports & terminals / brokers / carriers. Daily operations include process files opened by subordinate staff, make delivery plans & schedules w/ client, update AS400, issue delivery order, billing invoice etc.
? 20% Accounting-Related (Account Payable & Account Receivable, Payroll), including Approval, Accrual, Troubleshooting and Reporting
? 10% Reporting and analysis for management
? Prepare truck loadplans for project cargo bids and delivery
? For large/special projects; examine cargo in warehouse after discharge, sometimes attend shipside discharge operations and/or truck loading operations at warehouse/terminal.
? Cost Analysis and negotiation with subcontractors to increase revenue
Required Skills and Experience:
? High school diploma or equivalency certificate or significant or relevant or appropriate working experience
? Broker License a plus but not required
? Approximately 7 years management and industry experience
? Working Knowledge of general and Import/Export Computer application technology
? Analytical skill (Familiar with logistics concept and planning concept)
? Knowledge of international commerce (Incoterms, method, customs regulations etc.)
? Knowledge of Consolidator system
? Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT), State, Federal and Interstate Commerce commission (ICC) regulation. 49CFR Transportation of Hazardous Materials (shipping paper rules)
? Communication skill
? Able to multitask and effectively handle changing priorities under pressure
? Good Written & Verbal Skills; Strong organizational skills; attention to detail and follow-up
? Good computer skills (AS-400, Microsoft Word, Excel, Lotus Notes)
