Diversified Sourcing Solutions is Seeking a Licensed Customs Broker in Atlanta!

Our client has been providing comprehensive international freight, shipping, logistics, warehousing and distribution services to customers located throughout the world for decades. Our client has a lean management structure that allows greater flexibility for the Licensed Customs Broker when it comes to decision making. They have 47 locations with over 1,000 employees.The company combines the strengths of a mid-sized company that operates globally with the sensibilities of a team that has never forgotten its small, family-oriented business origins.

The ideal candidate will have worked for similarly structured, medium-sized company. Our client is looking for an employee who is driven, energetic, and able to make good decisions quickly. This person will make customers a priority. The Licensed Customs Broker will be based in Atlanta and will be the sole permit-holder for this branch.

Primary Job Responsibilities of the Licenced Customs Broker:
Ensures accurate and compliant brokerage records for branch audit and sends monthly reports.
Maintains and oversees employee records with U.S. Customs and customer POAs.
Renews port/district permits annually.
Oversees bond guidelines, sufficiency and authority limits.
Conducts periodic reviews of SOPs and audits of U.S. branch staff import entries.
Reviews customer documentation of HTS codes and assists customers with tariff classifications and obtaining binding rulings if requested by customers.
Works directly with and maintains a positive relationships with U.S. Customs and OGA.
Partners with Account Managers and other internal stakeholders to conduct periodic customer reviews.
Oversees and ensures adherence to customer SOPs, government agency regulation.

Qualifications and Requirements:
Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven office environment
Ability to professionally handle confidential information
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Experience in CargoWise ABI software is a plus
Must have current broker license
Must have a minimum  of 2-3 years of current/active international freight forwarding experience, Logistics, and/ or transportation experience
Must authorize Diversified Sourcing Solutions to complete a Drug Screen and In-Depth Criminal Background Check. Must be TSA compliant.

Education and Certifications:
High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Active Customs Broker License required

Benefits Summary:
$55,000 to $70,000 annually. The client is open to discussion for highly qualified candidates. 
10 days a year vacation that accrues.
The employee is eligible after 6 months for sick leave. 6 sick days annually.
401k  - The client does not offer matching.
Health, vision and dental insurance under PPO.  Eligible after 60 days for insurance.
